As Senior Manager - UT Operations, you will lead and manage Eutelsat’s User Terminal (UT) Operations team, ensuring the operational excellence of terminal deployment, in‑life support, performance monitoring, and ongoing lifecycle management. You will be accountable for delivering operational targets, optimising processes, and maintaining high service quality across UT field and network operations. This position reports to the VP, Technical Operations & Solution Engineering and works closely with Engineering, Network Operations, Product, and Customer Support teams to ensure seamless execution of operational activities across the UT domain.

What you’ll do

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and direct the day‑to‑day UT Operations team, setting clear objectives and performance standards to ensure operational goals are met.
  • Service Delivery & Quality: Oversee all operational aspects of user terminal deployments, activations, testing, and in‑life support to ensure high availability and service reliability, including new software bundle joint testing with Engineering and vendors.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track operational KPIs such as terminal readiness, uptime, incident response time, and resolution effectiveness; prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Escalation Management: Act as the primary operational escalation point, coordinating cross‑functional responses for complex technical or service issues affecting terminal operations. Maintain strong interfaces with Business Units, Engineering and Vendors.
  • Process & SOP Development: Define, implement, and continuously improve operational procedures, standards, and documentation to enhance efficiency and quality of service delivery.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, Network Operations, and Customer Success teams to align operational processes with technical roadmaps and customer expectations.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify operational risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory or service‑level requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate operational status, risks, and improvement plans clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous learning.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) managing technical operations teams in satellite, telecom or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of user terminal technologies and lifecycle operations.
  • Demonstrated operational leadership and team‑management skills, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Skilled at performance measurement, KPI reporting, and process optimisation.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages an advantage).

Where you’ll be

London, UK or Virginia, US. The role requires occasional travelling and an on‑call rota.
