Job Overview
The Assistant Company Secretary will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the Eutelsat Group's corporate governance and company secretarial framework. Working within the Corporate Legal team, the role will focus on ensuring high standards of governance across the Group's entities, providing dedicated support to Board and shareholder activities, and assisting with intra‐group transactions and corporate maintenance matters.
What You'll Do:
- Working across the Legal Corporate team to assist in delivering high‐quality company secretarial and governance services across the Eutelsat Group.
- Assist with the management of the Group's global corporate structure, including maintenance of statutory records, intercompany arrangements, and compliance with local legal requirements.
- Coordinate and manage Know Your Customer (KYC) and due diligence processes relating to the Group's entities, directors, and shareholders.
- Ensure timely filings with Companies House and equivalent foreign registries.
- Provide support for intra‐group corporate transactions such as transfers, recapitalisations, share capital increases or reductions, and other reorganisations.
- Maintain governance policies, registers, and internal documentation in line with Group standards.
- Liaise with external counsel and service providers supporting global entity management.
- Support the ongoing evolution of governance and compliance processes, helping to streamline and standardise procedures across jurisdictions.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for Board, committee, and shareholder meetings.
- Contribute to wider Corporate Legal initiatives and provide ad‐hoc support to other team members as needed.
What it Takes:
- Around 3 years' experience in a company secretarial or corporate legal environment, ideally within an international group or professional services firm.
- Working knowledge of UK Companies Act requirements and an interest in developing a broader understanding of global entity management.
- Experience preparing and maintaining statutory records.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast‐paced environment.
- Proactive and collaborative approach, comfortable working across jurisdictions and cultures.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with sound judgment and discretion.
- CGI or ICSA qualification (part‐qualified or working towards) preferred but not essential.
