Our end client, a specialist production company, is looking to hire an ERP Project Manager to help manage an SAP Business One project (SAP Business One experience is not required). You will work with the business and the system integration partner to manage an upgrade and re-implementation of SAP Business One from the current version 9.3 to the latest feature release of version 10.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of IT, the ERP Project Manager will be responsible for managing a successful upgrade and re-implementation of SAP Business One from the current version 9.3 to the latest feature release of version 10. Working with external SAP Business One support partners, alongside internal IT and business functional teams, the PM will coordinate all aspects of the re-implementation process. This includes ensuring compliance with the agreed plan, managing timelines, organising resources, providing regular reporting, and acting as the key internal point of contact for project delivery. The PM will be expected to deliver the upgrade and re-implementation of SAP Business One across multiple business entities located in the UK, Netherlands, and USA, introducing updates and changes to business processes as defined in a blueprint of requirements for the future operating model. The PM must build strong relationships with internal business stakeholders, ensuring requirements are maintained throughout the project to achieve a successful outcome.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Be the project owner for the SAP Business One upgrade project
  • Ensure the project plan and deliverables are in line with the signed Statement of Work
  • Maintain project and system documentation
  • Manage project resources and budget
  • Liaise with internal resources and external suppliers as required
  • Ensure functional and user acceptance testing plans are in place, and post-testing documentation is completed
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, providing scheduled and ad hoc updates and reports, and develop project KPIs in line with the project plan
  • Work closely with supplier project management resources to ensure the project stays on track and deliverables are met

Skills & Experience Required

  • At least 5 years’ project management experience with ERP system upgrades/implementations
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and business processes in manufacturing or production environments
  • Strong understanding of finance, supply chain management, production, sales, and integration modules, along with best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of project management tools
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems
  • Experience in manufacturing and production environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams

This is a 1-month rolling contract, offering 2 days per week of remote working, with travel to the Netherlands (expenses paid).
