They are currently seeking an experienced SAP Data Analytics Director – Data Platforms & Analytics to lead enterprise-scale data transformation programs with full P&L ownership and delivery accountability. This senior leadership role is responsible for the end-to-end management of large data transformation portfolios, including SAP BW modernisation, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) initiatives, SAP Datasphere implementations, and cloud data platform migrations.
The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to enterprise clients, ensuring predictable delivery, strong financial performance, high customer satisfaction, and long-term value realisation.
Key Responsibilities:- P&L Ownership & Commercial Leadership
- Own full P&L accountability for the data delivery portfolio, including revenue growth, margin optimisation, cost control, and utilisation.
- Drive financial performance through effective delivery governance, resource planning, and risk management.
- Partner with Sales and Account Leadership to shape proposals, commercial models, pricing strategies, and transformation roadmaps.
- Identify and execute account expansion opportunities across SAP Analytics, SAP BDC, Datasphere, and cloud data platforms.
- Program & Delivery Leadership
- Provide executive oversight for large-scale transformation programs including SAP BW/BW4HANA modernisation, ECC to S/4HANA data remediation, SAP Business Data Cloud pilots, and cloud-native data platform implementations.
- Lead program mobilisation, governance, executive reporting, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Establish and enforce delivery frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Manage complex multi-vendor, multi-shore global delivery environments.
- Technology & Architecture Leadership
- Serve as a senior authority on SAP data and analytics architecture, including BW, BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and SAP BDC.
- Provide strategic direction for data platform modernisation across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Guide architecture decisions related to data extraction (ODP, CDS, SLT, BODS), data modelling and governance, and security and performance optimisation.
- Drive adoption of automation, accelerators, and modern data engineering practices.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CDOs, Enterprise Architects, and senior business leaders.
- Lead executive steering committees and strategic roadmap discussions.
- Act as the escalation point for complex commercial, delivery, and technical issues.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, referenceability, and long-term partnership growth.
- Team & Practice Leadership
- Lead and scale high-performing, multi-disciplinary data delivery teams.
- Mentor and develop senior architects, delivery managers, and technical leaders.
- Contribute to practice strategy, service offerings, accelerators, and delivery standards.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and capability development across the practice.
- 15+ years’ experience in enterprise data platforms, analytics delivery, and transformation leadership.
- Proven track record of P&L ownership and portfolio delivery management.
- Deep expertise in SAP data and analytics technologies, including: SAP BW / BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).
- Strong experience delivering large-scale data modernisation and cloud migration programs.
- Hands-on exposure to cloud data platforms and ecosystems: AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience shaping and delivering complex transformation engagements.

In theory you can work up to 100% remotely, however, it is critical to bear in mind that in order to have true success in this role, you need to occasionally travel when necessary for onsite customer presentations/meetings etc. You can NOT work remotely from any other country. You must live within the UK.
