Job Role: We are looking for an experienced Surfacing Supervisor to join our team, overseeing surfacing operations across the Surrey and West Sussex counties. This role requires a mix of office-based planning and on-site supervision to ensure smooth project delivery.
Duties:
- Walk, Talk, and Build: Conduct site visits with clients to assess requirements, develop construction phase plans, and schedule patching works.
- Programme Development: Create and manage patching and surfacing schedules, ensuring jobs are reviewed for access and feasibility.
- Site Supervision: Oversee surfacing gangs, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Deliver toolbox talks, monitor site safety, and ensure all plant, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintained.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise one gang on site, coordinating resources, managing workloads, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Technical Expertise: Utilise your background in surfacing and machine operation to support best practices and resolve on-site challenges.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
- Proven experience in surfacing supervision with a background in machine operations.
- Strong understanding of highways maintenance and surfacing techniques.
- Proficiency in basic IT systems.
