To manage all operational aspects of the surfacing contract, including programming, resourcing, and cost control. To ensure all operations on site fully comply with all health, safety, environment, and quality requirements.
Duties
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and promote proactive safety culture.
- Manage site operations, including briefings, audits, and accurate record-keeping.
- Oversee quality standards (Sector 16 compliance, level control, “Right First Time” approach).
- Reduce waste and support sustainability initiatives.
- Control costs, monitor budgets, and assist with commercial reporting.
- Maintain accurate site documentation and digital reporting.
- Build strong partnerships with clients and stakeholders; attend pre-site meetings.
- Mentor new starters and contribute to team development.
Person Specification
- Minimum 2–3 years supervising surfacing programmes.
- Strong people management and client communication skills.
- Understanding of delivery-related cost and value.
- Ability to manage change control and fluctuating workloads.
- Passionate, proactive, and resilient.
- CSCS Supervisor Level 3+.
- First Aid.
- SSSTS (Site Safety Plus).
