Working closely with the Head Office marketing team, the Social Media Coordinator will lead the social media activity on camp throughout the summer. You’ll be based at one of our camp venues at schools in South East England and Derbyshire from Monday-Friday each week to capture, edit and post high-quality content to a variety of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. This is a varied role that requires strong content creation skills, engagement with a variety of staff members and players on camp to bring your creative ideas to life, and the ability to work independently to tight deadlines to plan and execute the content calendar. Please note, this is a residential, fixed term contract over the summer camp season, not a permanent role.
Responsibilities include:
- Capture high-quality photo and video content of activities on camp each day
- Edit content for use across social media platforms
- Post engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok in line with brand guidelines
- Plan and manage the daily and weekly content calendar, ensuring consistent output
- Work closely with players and staff to execute content ideas
- Identify and capture key moments, highlights, and stories from camp activities
- Write engaging captions and optimise posts for reach and engagement
- Monitor performance of posts and adjust content approach where needed
- Ensure all content aligns with safeguarding and consent guidelines
- Work collaboratively with the Head Office marketing team to align on campaigns and priorities
- Stay up to date with social media trends and incorporate them into content
- Manage content deadlines and work independently to deliver on time
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent content creation skills and experience with creative tools including CapCut and Canva to produce a variety of media types
- Demonstrable experience managing social media accounts on platforms like Instagram, Facebook and TikTok to engage with audiences and grow following
- Strong understanding of these social channels and how to utilise content and trends to grow reach and engagement
- Some photography and videography experience highly desirable
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail with experience in writing short form captions for social media
- An outgoing, energetic and positive character able to engage with children from a wide range of nationalities and cultures to capture and showcase their experience on camp
- An interest in and understanding of youth sports
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- An understanding of child safeguarding controls in content creation
- willingness to work to a flexible schedule to fit with the camps’ activities (will require some evening work to capture evening sports training)
- A full clean driving license and own car
