TLP Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Operative/Packer for our client based in Chard, Somerset, an established manufacturing company. This is a temporary position with the possibility of going permanent.
What’s on offer:
- Monday to Thursday
- Hours: 7 am – 5 pm
- Pay: £12.21 per hour
- 24/7 support from our team
- Pro‑rated paid annual leave for PAYE employees
What will you be doing?
- Packing batteries into boxes ready for dispatch
- Ensuring batteries are packed safely, securely, and correctly
- Checking products against paperwork for accuracy
- Labelling boxes correctly and preparing items for shipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets
- Assisting with general production or warehouse duties as required
- Following all health and safety procedures, particularly when handling batteries
What do we need from you?
- Previous packing or manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines
- Physically fit and able to carry out light to moderate lifting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive can‑do attitude
