Senior Quantity Surveyor- Port of Nigg-Scotland
Reporting to: Commercial Manager
Job Requirements:
As a quantity surveyor your primary duties include –
· Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility
· Calculating material quantities and costs, layout cost and achievable project timeframes · Negotiating labor contracts and schedules
· Monitoring colleagues, subcontractors, safety practices and construction progress and material needs, including any changes that may impact costs · Preparing labor and supplier accounts for payment
· Writing reports and detailing costs and progress for clients · Preparation of bill of quantities · Pricing bill of quantities

Daily cost control
Payment certificates to subcontractors and client
· Obtaining competitive prices from suppliers
· Have good knowledge of building regulations and standards
The successful candidate will use technical and soft skills to help clients achieve the best results in their projects.
You will be organized, systematic and have a meticulous work ethic for reviewing architectural drawings and construction plans and making accurate calculations.
