We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering civil engineering designs across a variety of projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects, ensuring all designs meet technical, regulatory, and client requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the Design Manager, project leads, and clients to define the scope of civil design work, ensuring clarity on technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed civil engineering designs, calculations, and drawings for site infrastructure, drainage systems, earthworks, and structural foundations, in line with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) to coordinate civil design elements.
  • Ensure designs adhere to local and international civil engineering standards, health and safety regulations, environmental considerations, and planning laws.
  • Update and refine designs in response to project scope changes, client requirements, or site conditions, maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Produce and review design reports, technical specifications, and tender documents, ensuring they accurately reflect design intentions.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, provide updates on design progress, and prepare status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project goals.
  • Utilize industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit to create accurate civil design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree advantageous but not essential).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering design, preferably in an office environment working on large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects; experience with earthworks, drainage, foundations, and site development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit; strong knowledge of civil engineering standards and Eurocodes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
