Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems for the subsea cable factory.
- Lead and coordinate electrical engineering teams, contractors, and vendors during the construction phase.
- Ensure electrical infrastructure (e.g., high-voltage systems, cable handling equipment, and curing systems) supports subsea HV cable production requirements.
- Oversee integration of factory automation and PLC/SCADA systems with production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) relevant to subsea cable manufacturing facilities.
- Conduct and review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, automation, and quality teams to ensure electrical system compatibility across the project.
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and final commissioning activities.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, delays, and quality concerns during construction.
- Monitor progress against project timelines, budgets, and milestones.
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in electrical installation.
- Proven experience supervising electrical installation on large industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage systems, industrial power distribution, and control systems.
- Familiarity with international electrical standards such as IEC and IEEE.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on subsea cable manufacturing or heavy industrial facilities.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with high attention to detail.
