We are looking for a skilled and detail‑oriented Electro‑Mechanical Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team. Working within a modern SMT environment, you will play a key role in assembling high‑quality electronic and mechanical products that meet exacting engineering and customer standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, thrives in a fast‑paced production setting, and takes pride in delivering precision and quality. This is a full‑time, permanent role working over 39 hours a week, 0700 to 1500 hours, Monday to Thursday, finishing at 1300 hours on a Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electro‑mechanical components and sub‑assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and SMT specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, standard operating procedures, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Kitting to a BOM when required.
  • Perform inspection and testing of assemblies to ensure compliance and quality requirements.
  • Identify and report defects, non‑conformances, or process issues in line with quality procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with ESD and health & safety standards.
  • Ensure all work is completed within specified production timescales and targets.
  • Follow company procedures for traceability, documentation, and process control.
  • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Safely using hand, power tools, precision instruments and test equipment.
  • Undertake repetitive tasks requiring sustained concentration, including working in seated or standing positions for extended periods, in accordance with role and workstation requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above preferred).
  • Previous training or certification in electro‑mechanical assembly is beneficial.
