Are you an experienced Quality Manager with a passion for food safety, compliance and continuous improvement? The opportunity

As our Quality Manager, you will lead the site quality agenda, ensuring products, processes and systems consistently meet customer, legal and internal standards. You’ll be a key member of the Technical team, driving compliance, championing best practice, and developing an audit-ready culture across the site. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with strong people leadership and enjoys working cross-functionally in a busy manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the Quality function on site and driving high standards across all operations
  • Managing and developing HACCP, quality systems and process controls
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, legal, customer and internal requirements
  • Promoting a strong quality, hygiene and food safety culture throughout the business
  • Leading internal audits and supporting customer, BRC and external audits
  • Managing non-conformances, complaints, investigations and corrective actions
  • Working closely with teams across Operations, NPD, Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Finance
  • Coaching, developing and supporting the Quality Assurance team
  • Identifying improvement opportunities that strengthen compliance, performance and efficiency
  • Supporting the Technical Manager and deputising where required

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced in a Quality or Technical leadership role within food manufacturing
  • A confident decision-maker with a proactive, hands-on approach
  • Passionate about maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement
  • A strong people leader who can coach, influence and build capability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, resilient and confident in challenging when standards are at risk

Skills and experience

  • Degree in Food Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within food manufacturing
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene
  • Level 3 HACCP
  • Audit experience, including internal and external audits
  • Strong understanding of retailer standards and quality systems
  • Experience of complaint handling and root cause analysis
  • Good project management and report writing skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
