Reporting to the Senior Internal Compliance Officer, the Access to Work Support Worker is responsible for providing reliable, safe and professional transport and agreed disability-related workplace support to an individual who receive Access to Work funding. The role exists to enable the employee to travel to and from their workplace and work-related activities and to provide specific, approved support that removes disability-related barriers in the with the Access to Work award.
The Access to Work Support Worker plays a key role in removing workplace barriers, and supporting employees to thrive in their roles.
This is a field based role to include frequent daily travel throughout the Scottish region, to include occasional national travel and overnight stays as required by the business.
A full UK Cat B drivers licence is essential to your application.
The Day to Day Provide safe, punctual, and reliable transport for an employee to and from their place of work or work related activities.
Assist the employee with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
Build positive, professional, and supportive relationships, treating individuals with dignity, respect, and confidentiality.
Uphold high standards of professionalism, safeguarding, and ethical conduct, and health & safety.
Maintain accurate and timely records of journeys, hours worked (including active driving time and downtime), and support provided, in line with Access to Work requirements.
Report any concerns regarding employee safety or wellbeing
Ensure the vehicle used is roadworthy, clean, insured, and compliant with legal and organisational requirements.
Adhere to data protection regulations, safeguarding policies, and health & safety standards.
Undertaking any other duties which may be requested by Management, for which appropriate training and/or an explanation has been provided and understood. This may include supporting wider business activities or the duties of the individual being supported, where appropriate.
