Reporting to the Lead Delivery Project Manager, the Delivery Project Manager will be responsible for driving and delivering effective software development or Technology infrastructure initiatives within a structured stage gate process, ensuring successful project initiation, planning, execution and closure. Representing the PMO and working in close collaboration with business stakeholders and other team members, you will ensure projects remain aligned with organisational goals and standards.
The Technology team currently work a hybrid model with time in our Letchworth central offices and at home, with travel to meetings, suppliers and offices throughout the ETEL estate depending on the needs of the business.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the full Project end to end life cycle, including but not limited to Project Initiation Document (PID), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Security Impact Assessments, Financial Controls, Integration, Build, Test, Deploy and Hypercare, all aligned to organisational policies and requirements.
- Verifying scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, in line with a stage gate governance process throughout the life cycle.
- Collaborate closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders to align expectations, set goals and resolve any cross-functional dependencies.
- Accurately track and report project status, Risks and Issues.
- Track and monitor third party supplier deliverables and budgets against the Statement of Works (SOW), and owning the project plan to completion.
- Proactively drive project and process improvements to increase value and efficiency.
- Ability to adapt to changing and diverse workload with autonomy and resilience.
- Stay curious and invest time in both Personal and Professional Learning and development.
Who we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience within a Technology Project Management role.
- Preferred, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Suite, MS Project and/or equivalent.
- Significant experience managing 3rd party vendors and partner suppliers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to create a compelling narrative that engages project participants.
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff.
- Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field.
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner Certification / APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
