The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations. We are responsible for running the world-famous DP World Tour, Staysure Legends Tour & HotelPlanner Tour. We also organise, alongside the PGA of America, golf’s greatest team contest - the Ryder Cup. The Ryder Cup is one of the world’s largest sporting events and we’re building a team to deliver an exceptional experience at Adare Manor in 2027.

We’re looking for a Transport Manager to play a key role in delivering one of the most complex areas of Ryder Cup Operations — VIP and stakeholder transport, working within Ryder Cup Europe’s Transport Operations Team. You’ll lead the planning and delivery of transport solutions for Sponsors, Officials, invited guests and other VVIPs, ensuring every journey to and from site is seamless, secure and well-coordinated. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a global sporting event, combining large-scale logistics, stakeholder management, and live event delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • VIP & Stakeholder Transport Planning
    • Define transport requirements for sponsors, government officials, invited guests and VIPs across key milestones, including the Year-to-Go event and 2027 Event week.
    • Design and implement end-to-end transport solutions across venues, airports and official hotels.
  • Manage Arrival & Departure Operations
    • Map and deliver arrival/departure processes for key user groups across multiple transport modes.
    • Oversee procedures covering access, parking, accreditation and vehicle movements.
  • Oversee Transport Operations On-Site
    • Set up and manage transportation dispatch operations at key stakeholder hotels.
    • Support delivery of on-site VIP bus terminal operations.
    • Coordinate hotel bus operations, including scheduling, access control and dispatch across multiple groups.
  • Collaborate Across Key Workstreams
    • Support player transport operations, including vehicle movements and police escort coordination.
    • Manage sponsor fleet operations in partnership with delivery teams.
    • Work with internal teams to deliver workforce transport schemes and hire car programmes.
  • Engage with the Local Stakeholders
    • Work closely with local stakeholders in Adare, including residents and businesses.
    • Support communication of transport plans in collaboration with transport and community working groups.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience managing complex transport or logistics operations end-to-end.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, suppliers and transport providers.
  • Experience developing and communicating clear operational policies.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders, suppliers and high-profile/VIP guests.
  • Experience delivering transport operations for major sporting or large-scale events (essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
