The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations. We are responsible for running the world-famous DP World Tour, Staysure Legends Tour & HotelPlanner Tour. We also organise, alongside the PGA of America, golf’s greatest team contest - the Ryder Cup.

As golf’s global tour, we showcase world-class talent in global destinations and use our platform to build, entertain and connect our global community. We’re looking for a Branded Content Account Director to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering industry-leading content that drives both audience engagement and commercial value.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Content, you’ll lead the Branded Content function across Project Management, Account Management and from an editorial perspective. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll bring together editorial excellence, production oversight and partner management to create best-in-class branded content across digital, social and broadcast platforms. You’ll work at the heart of our content and commercial ecosystem, collaborating across teams and with external partners, to deliver innovative, high-impact campaigns that grow audiences, achieve global acclaim and generate revenue.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and own the long-term Branded Content strategy for efficient and effective partner content management, driving audience and revenue growth.
  • Set clear KPIs, success metrics and performance frameworks for all branded content activity.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development, production and distribution of branded content across all platforms.
  • Maintain consistently high editorial, creative and production standards across all output.
  • Provide strategic oversight of our IMG production partnership, driving innovation, efficiency and quality.
  • Lead the delivery of partner campaigns from concept to execution and reporting, demonstrating clear ROI.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with key commercial partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Digital Commercial, Partnerships, Broadcast, Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to deliver integrated activation programmes.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and financial performance, ensuring efficient resource allocation and profitability.
  • Partner with Sales teams to develop compelling content-led propositions and support pipeline growth and conversion.
  • Identify and unlock new revenue opportunities, including opportunities beyond contracted partnerships.
  • Attend selected events to oversee content capture and delivery on-site.

About you:

  • Proven experience leading branded content or sports content teams, delivering high-impact campaigns across digital, social and broadcast.
  • Innovative creativity and big picture strategic thinking.
  • Deep understanding of the sports media and commercial landscape, with a keen eye for what works on social.
  • Track record of driving revenue through content-led partnerships.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience of budget ownership, forecasting and pricing strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at senior level internally and externally.
  • Highly organised with exceptional project management capability in complex environments.
  • Data-driven mindset, using insights and performance metrics to optimise content and demonstrate value.
  • Passion for innovation, with up-to-date knowledge of emerging content trends and platforms.
  • A meticulous eye for detail, with a commitment to quality and excellence in delivery.
