I am looking for multiple Technology Planning Experts to join a Global Leader in Advanced Technology and R&D. With a focus on future and emerging technologies, there are opportunities for candidates with any of the following experience:
- PhD with 5+ years of industry or academic experience in a relevant field.
- VLSI: System design, fabrication, and packaging.
- Advanced semiconductor technologies: Heterogeneous integration (3DIC), optoelectronics, thermal management, and back-end testing.
- Multi-physics modelling & simulation (particularly for electronics).
- Imaging systems: Pixel design, circuit architecture, and imaging pipelines.
- Computing architectures: CPU/GPU cores, AI accelerators.
- AI/ML algorithms & hardware implementations (processors/ASICs).
- Low-power design (device to system level).
- Wireless communication systems.
What expertise and experience do you have in the strategic planning of emerging technologies and assessing their commercial potential through in-depth research, such as literature reviews, technology trend analysis, and simulations? Successful candidates will have experience in this with 1 or more of the previously mentioned technologies.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate emerging technologies and their commercial potential through in-depth research, including literature reviews, technology trend analysis, and simulations.
- Produce high-impact technology analysis reports for senior leadership (chief scientists, executives, and decision-makers) to guide strategic direction.
- Conduct early-stage feasibility studies and simulations to shape technical roadmaps.
- Define and drive corporate & business unit (BU) innovation programs, ensuring alignment with long-term objectives.
- Engage with external partners, including researchers, suppliers, and ecosystem collaborators, to foster innovation.
- Influence product development strategies across cross-functional teams.
- Support prototyping efforts for preliminary technical assessments when required.
- Organize and facilitate internal seminars/workshops, maintaining active technical exchanges with academic and industry partners.
