As a Research Engineer, you'll work on advanced machine learning technologies including large language models, reinforcement learning, optimisation, and generative AI, helping shape future semiconductor design and AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and evaluate novel machine learning algorithms and AI research concepts.
  • Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept systems to support research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with researchers to translate theoretical ideas into practical software solutions.
  • Build and enhance research infrastructure, experimentation pipelines, and internal tooling.
  • Analyse experimental results and contribute to technical reports and documentation.
  • Stay informed of emerging AI research and recommend new approaches where appropriate.
  • Required Experience & Skills
  • MSc with 5+ years exp. or Ph D with 2+ years exp. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Reinforcement Learning, optimisation techniques, or generative AI.
  • Experience developing research infrastructure or ML tooling.
  • Knowledge of distributed training, GPU computing, or CUDA.
  • Exposure to semiconductor technologies, chip design, or applied AI research.
  • Commercial or research experience implementing machine learning algorithms.
  • Strong programming skills in Python; C++ experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with Py Torch, Tensor Flow, JAX, or similar deep learning frameworks.
