We are building a high-caliber team focused on System Performance Modeling and Simulation as well as Software and Hardware Integration Performance Optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Identify execution hotspots and microarchitecture bottlenecks using top-down analysis of computing load requirements. Optimize software architecture and implement hardware acceleration to improve system efficiency.
  • Modeling & Evaluation: Develop performance models for software workloads and hardware/chip architectures. Establish evaluation models to assess user experience performance indicators based on software and hardware specifications. Support performance evaluation for chip and product planning.
  • Simulation & Tool Development: Develop and maintain gem5 emulator for detailed system performance evaluation and optimization. Utilize system performance modeling and simulation tools such as gem5 and QEMU.
  • CPU Microarchitecture & Benchmarking: Construct benchmarks aligned with terminal software characteristics. Guide CPU microarchitecture design and optimize system-level performance. Ensure vertical optimization between software and hardware to enhance product performance and energy efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree or higher in IC Design, Microelectronics, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in chip performance modeling, simulation, and software-hardware collaborative optimization.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of CPU microarchitecture and common performance bottlenecks. Proficiency in performance modeling and simulation tools like gem5 and QEMU, including their development and maintenance. Experience with software-hardware co-design methodologies for system-level optimization. Knowledge of benchmark development and CPU microarchitecture optimization strategies.
  • Additional Competencies: Excellent problem-solving skills and innovative thinking. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Proficiency in English for technical reading and writing.
