We are searching for an NLP Research Scientist to join a globally known company in London on a permanent basis. This is a 100% onsite role with no flexibility for hybrid or remote work. The role focuses on leading and participating in cutting‑edge research projects, building benchmarks/baselines using public datasets, and training LLMs on novel, applicable, and practical tasks. You will also have the opportunity to publish research papers at top‑tier NLP/ML/AI conferences and journals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in cutting‑edge research projects.
  • Build benchmarks/baselines using public datasets.
  • Train Large Language Models (LLMs) on novel, applicable, and practical tasks.
  • Publish research papers at top‑tier NLP/ML/AI conferences and journals.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or related areas.
  • Strong research track record with publications in top‑tier NLP/ML conferences including ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, EACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, and top‑tier journals.
  • Result‑driven with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multi‑cultural, multi‑site, multi‑language, and changing environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team of research and technical experts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working on research projects in either academia or industry focused around Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning topics.
  • Very good knowledge of existing LLMs and evaluation frameworks, including experience with the most recent foundational language models.
