We are hiring a CPU RTL Design Engineer to work on next-generation high-performance, low-power processors. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, microarchitecture, and RTL implementation, with early involvement across the full product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CPU architects to explore and define high-performance microarchitectural strategies
- Drive microarchitecture development from early concept through detailed specification
- Own RTL design, development, refinement, and optimisation across power, performance, area, and timing
- Support functional verification through close collaboration with verification teams
- Support performance verification to ensure architectural and RTL goals are met
- Partner with physical design and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs
- Contribute to timing, power, reliability, testability, and area closure
Required Experience
- Strong understanding of CPU and microprocessor architecture
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following:
- Instruction fetch and decode
- Branch prediction
- Instruction scheduling and register renaming
- Cache, memory subsystems, and prefetching
Nice to Have
- Exposure to performance modelling or architectural exploration
- Experience working closely with physical design teams
