We are currently partnered with an innovative semiconductor company developing next-generation GPU IP for mobile, AI, automotive, consumer electronics, and high-performance computing platforms. As part of a growing GPU Architecture team, they are looking to hire Senior GPU Architects to define and optimise next-generation GPU architectures, performance models, and hardware/software co-design strategies that deliver industry-leading performance, power efficiency, and scalability.
Key responsibilities
- Define and develop next-generation GPU architectures for advanced SoC platforms
- Build and maintain performance, functional, and cycle-accurate models for GPU subsystems including shader cores, memory hierarchies, interconnects, and fixed-function units
- Evaluate architectural trade-offs across performance, power, and area (PPA) to guide microarchitecture decisions
- Analyse graphics, gaming, AI/ML, and GPU compute workloads to identify performance bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities
- Collaborate closely with RTL, Design Verification, Driver, Compiler, and Performance teams to ensure architectural intent is successfully implemented
Key requirements
- Strong commercial experience in GPU architecture, graphics processors, AI accelerators, or high-performance computing architectures
- Experience developing performance models, cycle-accurate simulators, or architectural exploration frameworks
- Strong understanding of GPU architectures, graphics pipelines, memory hierarchies, interconnects, and parallel processing concepts
- Experience analysing graphics, gaming, AI, or GPU compute workloads
- Mobile GPU architecture and low-power design
- GPU compiler, driver, or runtime optimisation
- AI/ML workloads and GPU acceleration
