We are looking for an experienced electro-mechanical maintenance engineer for our factory. The ideal candidate will have experience of breakdown and preventative maintenance and repairs of a wide range of industrial machinery and factory infrastructure, preferably in a metal manufacturing environment. This is a Permanent position, 40 hours per week Mon – Fri. European Springs has seen significant growth in both volume and diversity of products over recent years, and is looking to recruit an individual who will fit into a small, but highly motivated workforce, and one who is willing to be both flexible in their approach to work, but highly organised and able to manage repairs, preventative maintenance, and general building/property management to ensure on-time delivery of a diverse range of scheduled and spot orders. This role could include the management of a small maintenance team, including the training and development of apprentices. Personal Requirements Experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance engineer (preferably in manufacturing, but not essential) Familiar with the Health & Safety demands of this role, but able to develop ‘quick-fix and can-do’ solutions to production-critical breakdowns. Proven ability to create and maintain a preventative maintenance timetable Experienced in diagnostics and repairs of CNC and mechanical machinery Experienced in PLC and electronic diagnostics and repair Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics Attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills Experienced in 5S, with ability to implement good working practices Ability to work with management and external parties to ensure uninterrupted supply of products to customers Ability to organise and prioritise a workload in a fast-paced environment. Key skills Practical Mechanical/Electrical engineering ability. Diagnostic abilities on a wide range of machinery and equipment. Excellent communication skills. Computer literate Good numeracy and literacy skills Use of measuring tools (Vernier, micrometer, etc.) Forktruck licence (ideal, but not essential)
