JOB DETAILS
- Contract: Fixed term - 12 - 18 months initially with potential for extension
- Location: The post can be held in either UK (Hitchin, Hertfordshire) or DK (Gladsaxe)
- Travel: Occasional to regular travel between our European sites
- Renumeration: £42,500 - £50,000 (DOE)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week

JOB PURPOSE
The postholder will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR IT Project Support Specialist to join our Human Resources Technology team. This role serves as the critical link between our HR function and operational teams, ensuring that HR technology solutions are designed, tested, and implemented effectively to align with our business goals and processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in project execution, quality assurance, and end-user adoption of a new HRIS System.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Design and Alignment: Ensures system design aligns with HR business processes, working closely with HR stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical requirements. Participate in design sessions, providing input to ensure solutions support process efficiency and compliance standards (e.g., in areas like recruitment, payroll, or benefits).
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirements Management: Works closely with HR Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the technical development team to bridge communication gaps and facilitate clear understanding of project deliverables. Validate requirements with HR stakeholders through workshops, documentation review, and walkthroughs, ensuring accurate scope definition and sign-off. Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, system requirements, and configuration decisions.
- Quality Assurance and Testing: Ensures all modules meet functional and technical requirements specified during the design phase and in line with HR business processes. Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations. Coordinates testing activities with HR users (UAT – User Acceptance Testing), managing defects, tracking progress, and communicating status updates to the project manager.
- Deployment and Support: Assist with cutover planning and data migration activities to ensure a smooth transition to the new system or module. Provide training and support for go-live events, including developing training materials, leading user training sessions, and offering post-implementation support. Act as a Tier 1 support resource for technical issues following deployment, collaborating with IT for timely resolution.
- General: Comply with Company policies & procedures. Any other duties commensurate with position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Conversant with Microsoft 365
- 2+ years of experience in IT, as an HRIS Analyst, or Business Analyst type role, preferably supporting major HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM)
- Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements
- Understanding of core HR business processes (e.g., Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation)
- Experience planning and managing testing cycles (e.g., unit testing, system integration testing, UAT)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Prior experience in developing end-user training content (e.g., guides, videos, simulations)
- Certifications related to HR technology platforms or business analysis
