Guidant is collaborating with Airbus, the world's largest aircraft manufacturer, to find Toolmakers to join the Airbus team at the Broughton site, within the Wing Build Production section. If you have experience in a similar role, you are invited to work on essential and challenging tasks, as aircraft wings are among the most technically intricate components of an aircraft.
About The Role
- Reactively maintain tooling to keep production running.
- Proactively maintain critical path tooling and jig features to support the build cycle according to schedules.
- Work with the Metrology team using Laser Trackers and CMM instruments to check and certify tooling across the Broughton Plant.
- Support measurements for AC concession data and acceptance checks.
Shift Options
- Double Days: Week 1 - 06:00 to 13:10, Week 2 - 13:30 to 20:40 (Monday to Friday)
- Nights: 20:45 to 06:00 (Monday to Thursday)
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have completed a full Apprenticeship in Toolmaking and hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).

The Broughton site designs, tests, and manufactures wings for all Airbus' commercial aircraft, except the A220. It supports approximately 9,000 UK jobs and has a workforce of 6,000 highly skilled personnel.
