Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking a skilled Electrical Architect/Engineer to oversee all aspects of missile development, from initial concept to series production and in-service support. Key Responsibilities
- Design the electrical architecture, missile system, and launcher requirements.
- Define the electrical architecture based on requirements, establishing the power architecture and safety design.
- Define interface characteristics between subsystems.
- Determine requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding, and screening.
- Support test activities and review/author guidelines and processes related to design.
Alternative – Equipment Manager (RMO)
- Project manage the equipment(s) on behalf of the project during development, qualification, and manufacture.
- Produce Statement(s) of Work for the associated design authority.
- Technically manage internal & external suppliers to deliver the equipment(s) work packages to time, cost, quality, and performance requirements.
- Review qualification verification evidence and control assigned budget(s) for both activities and manage your workload.
Qualifications
- Electrical/Electronics/Systems engineering experience (essential).
- Interfaces; Data communication.
- Knowledge of defence/industry standards, etc.
- HND or Degree level qualification in a related subject; ideally defence‑related background.
- Experience in Systems Engineering.
- Writing reports.
Desirable Experience
- Power supplies; Sensors; Actuators; Defence; Weapon Systems.
- Health Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS).
- Model Based Engineering (MBE).
- EMC.
- ATEX regulations.
