Our client, a valued partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is looking for an experienced Senior Configuration Engineer. In this role, you will support a dynamic team of over 30 Configuration specialists, working across various products, packages, and life cycles in a multi-national environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Senior Configuration Engineer is a key player in supporting the Configuration Manager across various projects.
- This role involves taking charge of Product Definition and Configuration Management for minor projects or significant components of larger projects.
- It requires a proactive approach and a strong commitment to order and quality, ensuring the integrity of all design elements for the products.

Additional skills:

- Manage accurate design definitions for multiple product variants and implement engineering changes effectively.
- Review engineering changes to ensure adherence to business processes and project controls, approving or rejecting changes as necessary.
- Provide draft updates to Configuration Management documents ahead of review periods.
- Prepare comprehensively and timely for Configuration Meetings, supplying data to the Configuration Manager and project team as per agreed timelines.
- Ensure control of project design definitions throughout development, production, and in-service phases, providing comprehensive status accounting information to customers.
- Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders and act as the focal point for day-to-day activities with project and engineering teams.
- Offer support and guidance on Engineering Change methodologies relevant to the product or equipment lifecycle, ensuring processes are agreed upon, documented, and practiced.
Security Clearance:
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
