We are currently seeking a number of experienced and ambitious Commercial Lead professionals to work with our exceptional client in a secure environment, supporting challenging and highly rewarding projects. These contract roles will require you to conduct security clearance prior to assignment. Opportunities are available in Manchester.
You will have the potential to work effectively across a diverse range of internal projects and teams spanning multiple business units, where you will manage critical relationships and high profile/priority projects as well as leading the development and management of the commercial pipeline for the business. You will be encouraged to showcase your skills on unique projects.
You will demonstrate how commitment, vision and expertise are the hallmarks of your outstanding service to customers and the organisation. You will lead the commercial strategy and directions for key projects and will use your impact, influence and insight to drive business change throughout the commercial function, bringing strategic plans and commitments to life. You will partner with suppliers to innovate and enhance their performance, bringing colleagues on that journey with you; and you will set the standard for collaborative working. Therefore, exceptional influencing, negotiation and people skills are a must.
You will also need to be an emotionally astute, visible and active senior contributor and leader, to support others in developing their skills and abilities to achieve goals together. These Commercial Lead roles are conducted in an environment that is far from ordinary, therefore, we are not looking for ordinary.
Your qualification, experience, skills and behaviours:
- Extensive delivery and strategic experience in commercial, procurement, category management and supply chain environments
- Written commercial plans strategies and plans
- Understood your role in delivering on both tactical and strategic levels
- Led and implemented complex commercial contracts and scenarios
- Outcome focused, driving quality and VFM
- Utilised high level business levers to support complex requirements
- Balanced change and uncertainty with delivery
- Risk analysis
- Key relationship handler (customers, sponsors and suppliers)
- And ideally, commercial experience in technology or digital environments
You will:
- Hold, or be willing to independently attain a professional commercial qualification such as Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply ('MCIPS') or equivalent
