We’re partnering with Airbus to find a proactive Technical Support Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. If you enjoy solving technical problems, supporting continuous improvement, and working close to production teams, this is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise in one of the UK's most advanced aerospace facilities. You’ll play a key role in keeping production moving smoothly by resolving technical issues, supporting shop‑floor teams, and contributing to operational excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Daily Shop‑Floor & Lineside Support: Providing hands‑on technical support to resolve issues such as missing parts, non‑conformities, concessions, outstanding work and tooling matters. Supporting work‑order management, including out-of-cycle tasks and identifying blocked work orders. Escalating issues to specialist teams (Work Prep, PPE, Maintenance, MAP and Outstanding Work) when required.
- Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Contributing to lean initiatives and helping identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve shop‑floor processes. Supporting analysis of industrial systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Quality, Safety & Logistics Support: Helping ensure production and quality standards are maintained at all stations. Supporting the communication and application of EH&S rules and identifying near‑misses. Assisting with the prioritisation of materials linked to rework orders.
- Tools, Jigs & Asset Support: Assisting in creation or modification requests for new tools, jigs and small tooling repairs.
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone with strong practical engineering experience and a passion for problem‑solving.
Essential Experience:
- Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, aviation, production or lineside environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, engineering methods and technical issue resolution.
- A systematic, organized approach with excellent analytical and practical problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment.
