Overview: Guidant Global is proud to partner with Airbus to recruit a talented Supply Chain Quality Manager. This key role sits at the heart of Procurement and Supply Chain Operations, supporting a global network of suppliers who deliver precision‑manufactured detail parts for major Airbus programmes—including A220, A350 and wings manufacturing across Belfast, Toulouse, Kinston, and beyond. If you’re passionate about driving quality, strengthening supplier relationships, and enabling world‑class aerospace manufacturing, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Engagement & Performance: Build strong relationships with suppliers and provide day‑to‑day operational support. Assess potential suppliers during tendering and support supplier selection decisions. Own On‑Time and On‑Quality performance—ensuring suppliers consistently meet Airbus standards. Report on supplier operational performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Quality, Compliance & Approvals: Manage supplier quality approvals and ensure compliance with all required certifications (e.g., QMS, Nadcap, EMS). Support industrial qualification processes during new product introductions, changes, and rate increases. Identify supplier risks and put effective mitigation plans in place. Lead recovery actions where needed, including crisis management.
  • Development & Improvement: Assess supplier capability, capacity, and maturity, driving development initiatives where required. Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects. Apply Airbus procurement tools and processes to manage supplier activities effectively.

Travel: Travel may be required across the UK and EU including Toulouse, Belfast, and supplier sites.

What You’ll Bring

  • Essential Experience: 5+ years in Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or Customer Support. Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals and quality standards/methods. Experience in machining or metallic components (highly desirable). Familiarity with NC/NOE/QSR processes. Ability to manage supplier performance, lead improvement projects, and support crisis recovery. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working in multicultural teams. Project management experience. Advanced English language skills.
  • Technical & Behavioural Strengths: Knowledge of quality regulations and standards (e.g., Nadcap). Supplier auditing and assessment skills. Confident decision‑making and the ability to work autonomously. SAP experience (desirable).
