About the role
We’re looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to provide tailored personal care and support to individuals in their homes or day services. You’ll help people maintain the best possible quality of life, following their care plans while adapting to their needs as they arise. This role typically supports individuals with lower-level care needs over short-term periods.
What you’ll do
- Deliver personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, eating support, and safe moving/handling using equipment.
- Administer prescribed medication under supervision, following policy and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully, ensuring dignity and compassion at all times.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities based on residents' interests, including risk assessments and arrangements.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including administering first aid and contacting emergency services.
- Monitor and record changes in clients' needs and maintain accurate care records daily.
What we’re looking for
- Qualifications: Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience delivering personal care and social support; some experience administering medication.
- Skills & Knowledge: Understanding of care methods, processes, and regulations. Ability to use mobility aids safely. Strong communication skills with empathy and respect. Ability to adapt priorities and respond to situations calmly.
