Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Lead Generation & Market Intelligence Lead to own and develop our lead generation programme within the Sales team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and segmenting prospect and customer databases
  • Acting as the first point of contact for new and existing prospects, engaging to establish interest, requirements, and next steps
  • Qualifying leads and handing over sales‑ready opportunities to the Business Development Managers
  • Working closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to translate agreed messaging into targeted communication activity
  • Delivering campaigns and outreach activity aligned to public sector priorities
  • Maintaining accurate records of engagement and qualification activity within the CRM system
  • Providing regular reporting and briefings on lead volumes, quality, and campaign effectiveness

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification

A market intelligence solution is already in operation and forms a core part of the role. Key responsibilities include:

  • Using market intelligence tools to identify emerging opportunities, trends, and target accounts
  • Proactively identifying the next wave of opportunities aligned to public sector demand and strategic priorities
  • Working with leadership to assess, shape, and prioritise opportunities
  • Presenting actionable insight to Sales and Marketing teams, ready for communication and campaign execution
  • Ensuring market insight informs account targeting, messaging, and engagement strategy

Measures of Success

Success in the role will be demonstrated through:

  • Growth in qualified lead volume and improved conversion rates
  • Measurable contribution to sales pipeline creation
  • Quality and readiness of opportunities passed to Business Development Managers
  • Improved targeting and relevance of campaigns
  • Strong alignment between market insight, messaging, and sales execution

Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience engaging prospects as an initial point of contact
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing prospect data
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Demonstrable experience working with public sector customers in an IT or technology‑led environment
