The Role
We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join us in supporting our clients with exceptional service. As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the entire purchasing function of the group. Currently, you will have one direct report, with plans for team expansion. You will report directly to the Managing Director and participate in senior meetings to help evaluate and adapt the business.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Processing orders from our sales team to suppliers, using Sage as our core platform.
- Managing suppliers to ensure they meet our service expectations, building relationships to achieve excellent service and cost savings.
- Spotting buying trends and opportunities for savings.
- Using our CRM to ensure the sales team has all necessary information for tracking and delivery.
- Evaluating daily back orders to identify stock availability from other suppliers and improve lead times.
- Managing product returns according to the RMA process.
- Liaising with our tech team to ensure incoming goods are built quickly and correctly for prompt delivery.
