Fellows will hold permanent academic roles, supported for three years to pursue independent and collaborative research, contributing significantly to the university\’s research profile. ABOUT SPORT, EXERCISE AND REHABILITATION AT NORTHUMBRIA Northumbria University excels in sport, exercise, and rehabilitation research, integrating various disciplines like physiology, psychology, nutrition, biomechanics, coaching, management, physiotherapy, and more. Our REF 2021 submission was our largest, with 92% rated World Leading or Internationally Excellent, ranking 5th in the UK for Research Power. We aim to recruit future research leaders in areas including, but not limited to, management of long-term conditions, sports coach education, and sport, health, exercise, and nutrition. ABOUT YOU Positions available at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor levels. Candidates must hold a doctoral qualification and demonstrate expertise in the research area. Applicants should provide a research plan, including grant activities. Expectations vary by level, with Assistant Professors expected to have a growing publication record and ambitious research plans, while senior roles require established leadership and successful projects.
