Background
The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful faculty, known for partnership work across health and social care. Supported by a state-of-the-art simulation centre, the school offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses leading to registration in healthcare professions. The university has invested over £8 million in its facilities and offers a MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. The school runs a successful undergraduate physiotherapy programme and seeks experienced physiotherapy educators.
The Post
We welcome applications for part-time roles. The post holder will work with our physiotherapy team and employers to deliver undergraduate programmes, including apprenticeships. The programmes are designed with stakeholders, and the post holder will collaborate closely with them. Opportunities include participating in research and knowledge exchange activities through the Faculty’s Institute of Lifecourse Development (ILD), which has contributed to our recent REF success.
The Person
You will be an experienced physiotherapist with a background in education and/or research, capable of teaching our pre-registration physiotherapy programme. Ideally, your clinical expertise will be in neurological and/or musculoskeletal areas. You should have a passion for education, a drive to see students succeed, and ambition. There is opportunity to complete a PGCHE, progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, and contribute to research and enterprise activities.
