Langford Vets are excited to invite applications for radiologists to join our close-knit team. The ideal candidate will be seeking a 50-100% FTE role within a busy teaching hospital, available from February 2027. The role is suited to ECVDI/ACVR residency-trained or boarded radiologists.

The small animal hospital at Langford is one of the busiest in the UK. Imaging facilities include:

  • 1.5T Phillips MRI
  • 128-slice Siemens CT
  • Two Siemens ultrasound machines
  • Computed radiography suite
  • Mobile digital radiography unit
  • Two fluoroscopic units

The radiology team works in close partnership with the multidisciplinary hospital staff, and the wide and varied caseload affords unparalleled opportunity for clinical collaboration, where radiologists have a vital role in clinical case management.

Day-to-day the role involves delivering high quality clinical imaging services to our hospital and referring vets, including out of hours provision, as well as teaching to the students of Bristol Vet School and the interns and residents of Langford Vets. Candidates must hold an ECVDI or ACVR diploma or have completed an ECVDI or ACVR accredited residency.

Beyond that, the job can be tailored to the individual; full or part time, partial remote or flexible working are all negotiable. There is scope to incorporate the interests of the individual, whether that be clinical research, teaching, service optimisation, involvement in our developing interventional services or any combination of these.
