Context the role

As PIE transitions to become an independent organisation, developing strong external relationships, a sustainable funding base, and a compelling external profile will be critical to achieving its mission. The Development Operations Associate role provides the opportunity for someone with the relevant experience and skill set to join a small team building a strong and professional partnerships and fundraising program from the ground up.

Reporting to the Senior Funder Coordination Advisor and working closely with colleagues across the Strategic Partnerships, Communications, Finance, Operations, and Programme teams, the Development Operations Associate will be essential to developing, implementing, and managing the internal tools, systems and processes that support the full fundraising lifecycle of the new PIE Foundation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead on tracking, input, and management of donor data in Sharepoint and Monday.com
  • Manage grant proposal and report submission processes, including coordinating with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure on-time, high-quality materials on an ongoing basis, including proofreading, gathering required attachments, and uploading/sending materials
  • Drive process within PIE on funder agreement review and execution and donor acknowledgments
  • Support fundraising pipeline development by performing prospect and due diligence research on new funding prospects
  • Support Finance Team in tracking budget and financial reporting deadlines, and reconciling funder tracking system with financial systems
  • Support Director, Partnerships and Ecosystem Engagement to establish effective systems, processes, dashboards, and tools to support fundraising and donor management and develop related policies and guidelines.

Experience and competencies

Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in fundraising, development, philanthropy, or related fields.
  • High level of comfort and competency with relevant tech systems, including CRM/donor database and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing internal projects and processes.
  • Fluent in English; other languages a plus.

Remote with international travel expected 1-3 times per year
