This role works within our Safety & Compliance team to ensure that our internal processes and external providers satisfy the CAMO/Engineering requirements of Part CAMO, Part 145 and Part M. The Safety & Compliance Quality Engineer reports via the Departmental Safety Manager – CAMO to the Director Safety, Security & Compliance on all matters concerning Part CAMO, Part M and Part 145 compliance and quality assurance both internally and externally. The Safety & Compliance Engineer works closely with the Continued Airworthiness Manager and MOC Manager in addition to external service providers to deliver a robust and effective compliance assurance regime for the airline.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Detailed knowledge of EASA and CAA Airworthiness requirements
  • Understanding of SMS and risk assessment processes
  • Trained and experienced auditor
  • Effective communicator dealing with internal and external customers and agencies
  • Previous Airline/MRO experience preferred
  • Part 66 licence holder preferred
  • Trained in Human Factors, Fuel tank Safety, EWIS
  • Working knowledge of IT based quality management tool (Q-Pulse/Centrik)

Main Duties:

  • Assist in the development and control of the expanding SMS for ECL i.e. CAMO Compliance Audits, CAMO Third Party Audits, CAMO Postal Audits
  • Manage timely closure of audit findings both internal and external
  • Assist with the development of the Management Systems Manual, CAME, CAMO Procedures and customer interface documents
  • Assist with the management of Safety Reports and relevant investigations both internal and external, ensuring correct root cause analysis, corrective actions and closure within timescales
  • Assist in management, control and development of CAMO Risk Assessments ensuring all staff are aware of contents
  • Assist in compilation and management of quarterly SAG and SRB meetings and resulting actions
  • Liaise, when necessary, with the Competent Authority
  • Assist with company and department training i.e. SMS initial and refresher
