Our client, EuroPC, is one of the largest resellers of brand name, certified refurbished computer products for both home and business customers. Customers can buy products either online or over the phone from one of its highly trained Account Managers. EuroPC believes refurbished computers play an important part in reducing the environmental impact while saving customers money.

We are currently working in partnership on an exclusive and retained basis to appoint a Head of Finance for their East Kilbride office just outside of Glasgow. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, helping to drive financial performance, improve forecasting accuracy, and support strategic initiatives across the business. You will have autonomy to develop the financial systems to help deliver. You will be supported by a dedicated and passionate finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Stewardship & Reporting: Lead the preparation of accurate, timely monthly management accounts and variance analysis, year-end financial statements, and board packs, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Modelling: Prepare and manage annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and longer term financial plans. Reporting to banking business partners as required.
  • Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Actively monitor and optimise cash flow in all currencies, oversee working capital, and manage corporate banking relationships.
  • VAT And European VAT: Responsible for quarterly Group VAT submissions plus the quarterly VAT of a standalone VAT registration. Liaising with an external European VAT support for submission of all European VAT, OSS and IOSS reporting.
  • Internal Controls & Audit: Design, implement, and monitor robust internal financial controls and processes to mitigate risk and safeguard business assets.
  • Commercial Support: Partner closely with department heads to analyse commercial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support business decisions to improve overall profitability.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA fully qualified status with experience in a similar corporate environment.
  • Technical Excellence: Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements. Experience of European VAT registrations, OSS and IOSS is essential.
  • Systems & Data Literacy: Advanced Excel skills and extensive hands-on experience with modern ERP systems. Experience of Epicor would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders and influence senior leadership decision-making.
  • High Attention to Detail: A meticulous, analytical approach combined with the ability to see the bigger picture and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
