A Warehouse Services Manager join our team in Corby, you’ll be the driving force behind a smooth-running, high-performing general logistics function ensuring our clients expectations are not only met but exceeded. What you will be doing:
- Drive cost efficiency, service excellence, and quality while maximising income and net profit.
- Take full ownership of all processes within your area, regularly reviewing, updating, and ensuring team-wide understanding and adoption.
- Manage and safeguard the Profit & Loss for your area, ensuring timely and accurate client billing and protecting Europa’s commercial interests.
- Collaborate effectively with peers to deliver consistent results across all operational areas, aligning with company values and fostering strong teamwork.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key site personnel—acting as their primary point of contact to drive actions forward.
- Oversee labour planning and deployment to ensure adherence to operational KPIs and financial targets.
- Lead and support a team of Area Managers ensuring strict compliance with company standards, processes, values, and financial protocols.
- Uphold and exceed service levels and contractual commitments, ensuring we always deliver on our promises to clients.
- Champion continuous improvement across all operational facets under your control.
- Set and manage effective meeting cadences, adjusting schedules according to peak and non-peak periods.
- Always safeguard the business’s reputation with clients.
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive team culture where every contribution is valued and recognised.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability, always acting with integrity, honesty, and transparency.
- Actively invest in personal development and support the growth of team members.
- Undertake any additional tasks as required by your line manager from time to time.
Our Ideal Person:
- Proven experience in managing operations within a 3PL warehouse environment, ideally in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
- A proactive, hands-on leader who takes full ownership and accountability for their area.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to maintain performance and morale during periods of pressure or change.
- Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, including labour planning, resource deployment, and operational KPIs.
- Experience in managing client expectations and delivering high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Solid understanding of contractual obligations and service level agreements with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding them.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills confident liaising with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
- Experience in driving and embedding continuous improvement initiatives within operational teams.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven and results-oriented environment.
