We are looking for an Out of Hours Customs Administrator (10pm – 6.00am) to join our busy customs team in Dartford. The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient out of hours operation and customs administration within the company. The role involves handling documentation, responding to queries, and managing various processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks related to customs declarations, operations, exports, imports, and transport.

What you will be doing:
The nature of the role involves performing various tasks depending on the night and the department the employee is assigned to. The OOH team's nights work includes but is not limited to the following operations as a core:
- Operations: Read in all EDIs and complete missing profiles. Allocate T Forms.
- Exports: Prepare export packs. Print and sign DGNs. Handle export EDI requests. Forwarding T Forms and manual T Forms. Respond to emails from hauliers regarding exports. Address EBS queries, validations, and orange lane sheets. Manage export pre-advice requests. Handle CN37s and the Irish export manifest.
- Imports: Process import declarations. Handle import arrivals. Handle the Irish import manifest and T forms. Respond to emails from hauliers regarding imports and GMR requests.
- Transport: Address trunk handover problems. Handle trunk manifest emails. Manage fleet callouts. Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager, commensurate with the role.
Our Ideal Person:
- Excellent attention to detail when processing large amounts of data.
- Two years’ experience in a customs / road operations role.
- Excellent communication and ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Experience preferred in administration, data entry or customer service.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
