Europa Worldwide Group is an ambitious independent logistics operator with three divisions, Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, and Europa Warehouse. The group employs over 1,000 people with 16 sales offices in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, plus European teams in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and internationally in Cape Town, Hong Kong, China, India, and the UAE.

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud solutions that support our business-critical applications and services. You’ll leverage your expertise in Azure services, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and DevOps practices to drive efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement across our cloud platforms.

What you will be doing:

  • Design and implement cloud architectures on Azure, leveraging services such as AKS, SQL PaaS, and other Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and reliable delivery of cloud solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cloud security controls using tools such as Prisma Cloud and App Check.
  • Work with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to embed security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and identity management to ensure robust and secure environments.
  • Manage identity and access management (IAM), encryption mechanisms, and key management systems across Azure.
  • Maintain and optimise AKS environments, ensuring best practices for cluster configuration, container lifecycle management, and operational resilience.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Stay up to date with emerging Azure, cloud security, and containerisation technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Our Ideal Person:

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related technical role.
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as AKS and IaC tooling like Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native monitoring and observability tools.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code practices and tools (Terraform, HashiCorp ecosystem).
  • Good knowledge of containerisation and container security, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Relevant Azure certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative, taking ownership of tasks and outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
