We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
This role requires strong expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, security, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices. The selected candidate will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments while supporting modernization, migration, and operational excellence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Manage and support Azure services including Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Functions.
- Build and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, or Python.
- Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.
- Configure and manage Azure networking components including VNets, NSGs, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, Private Endpoints, VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
- Implement and manage identity, access, and governance controls using Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities, Conditional Access, and Azure Policy.
- Ensure cloud security best practices through encryption, secrets management, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and compliance alignment.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, connectivity, deployment, and performance issues across Azure environments.
- Support cloud migration and modernization programs from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Azure.
- Optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, architecture notes, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and support of cloud-based solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to cloud standards, governance, and engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud engineering with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience in designing and managing production-grade Azure environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Strong Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and support.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, and governance.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and incident response.
- Good understanding of backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability architecture.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
