Europa is a leading supplier of electrical components to the wholesale distribution market. We are currently recruiting for an experienced National Business Development Manager to join our established sales team to continue to drive Europa’s success in delivering top-quality products and services to our customers.
The Role
As National Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Partnership Team. Europa has an ambitious growth strategy and so, if you have a proven track record of delivering sustainable growth through effective customer relationship management we want to hear from you. Key responsibilities of National Business Development Manager:
- Proactively sell a diverse array of industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical products to OEM and panel builders with aligned region.
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with key decision‑makers at OEM, Panel Builders and Wholesalers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Identify new business prospects and nurture existing client relationships to drive sales growth.
- Collaborate with fellow regional sales managers to seize new business through specification sales, leveraging industry expertise and best practices.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans across target accounts to achieve sales objectives and bolster Europa's market presence.
- Stay abreast of industry trends through market research to inform sales strategies and tactics.
- Work closely with internal teams such as marketing and product development to tailor solutions for customers.
- Network and forge connections at industry events and conferences to expand our client base.
- Regular contact with Contractors, Wholesalers and OEM and panel builders to upsell and promote Europa offering.
- Utilise CRM systems for regular account reviews and forecasts to devise effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with other regional sales managers to share insights and ensure consistency in sales approach.
- Sell Smart technology to include products such as Verv, Solar Guardian, Europa Plus, Parrot.
- Upsell Europa products whilst offering a custom tailor made in house solution where components can be added.
What we’re looking for:
- A strong knowledge of the electrical component sales process.
- Knowledge of the electrical components industry and an understanding of the legislative framework that governs the electrical industry.
- Excellent verbal and written English, strong working knowledge of 365 suite and experience using CRM systems.
- Expertise in building and nurturing customer relationships to develop sustainable pipelines from target accounts.
- A willingness to work within a collaborative environment, but also demonstrate an ability to work alone as needed.
- The ability to effectively manage time to ensure that an optimum number of sales calls are executed each week, whilst also ensuring that any administrative tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Evidence of establishing strong local relationships (Desirable).
- Experience of technical sales in an electrical or similar environment (Desirable).
