About the ETF Market Structure and Strategy Team

The team sits at the intersection of market microstructure, quantitative research, and client strategy, operating across Paris, Milan and London. We define the trading experience for one of Europe's fastest-growing asset classes. Our mandate includes:

  • Setting the standard for ETF market quality and trading experience on Euronext
  • Architecting market‑making programmes and fee structures to attract and retain top‑tier liquidity providers
  • Developing proprietary liquidity research and order‑book analytics
  • Building and stewarding relationships with sophisticated trading participants in Europe, including global banks, market makers and proprietary trading firms
  • Leading business‑development initiatives to expand Euronext's ETF offering and bring innovative trading solutions to market

The role

As ETF liquidity manager, you will own the liquidity agenda for the platform, from designing pricing schemes and supervising quantitative research, to leading client engagement with senior decision‑makers at top‑tier institutions. You will serve as Euronext's market‑structure authority, representing the company in front of demanding, high‑profile counterparts and working closely with business development, quant and product teams.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Market quality and liquidity strategy
  • Analyzing order‑book dynamics and trading‑member behaviour, translating data into strategic insights to improve ETF liquidity
  • Leading competitive benchmarking and market‑quality assessments to sharpen Euronext's positioning and drive continuous improvement
  • Acting as the internal centre of expertise on ETF liquidity, guiding adjacent teams and informing product and commercial decisions
  • Pricing and programme architecture – designing and evolving competitive fee structures and market‑making programmes aligned with Euronext's strategic positioning; overseeing end‑to‑end implementation of pricing initiatives across billing and trading systems
  • Building robust business cases to support pricing changes and deliver measurable value for clients and the platform
  • Client and stakeholder engagement – leading high‑stakes interactions with liquidity providers and trading participants; crafting and delivering compelling, data‑driven narratives for senior management, clients and industry forums
  • Partnering with business development to convert market‑quality insights into differentiated client propositions
  • Innovation and feature deployment – leading the rollout and adoption of advanced trading functionalities, including enhancements and new liquidity mechanisms; defining and delivering deployment strategies, coordinating stakeholders and driving adoption among key market participants
  • Quantitative leadership and collaboration – framing business needs as well‑defined quantitative problems; supervising and developing the quant analyst, defining priorities and ensuring modelling outputs are robust, relevant and operationally actionable; integrating quantitative insights into pricing decisions, strategies and client materials

Your profile

  • At least seven years' experience in ETF trading, liquidity management or market structure, ideally gained at an exchange, asset manager, bank, market maker or proprietary trading firm
  • Deep command of electronic trading, order‑book dynamics and ETF market microstructure
  • Established credibility with sophisticated market participants; comfortable engaging at senior and C‑suite level on both commercial and technical topics
  • Sharp analytical mind, able to turn complex market dynamics into clear, actionable strategies; quantitative skills valued, but deep modelling expertise is not required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑stakeholder initiatives autonomously, owning outcomes end‑to‑end
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to tailor complex content to diverse audiences
  • Fluent in English; French or Italian is a plus
