Purpose of the Role: The Business Development Executive (BDE) role is part of the Corporate New Business Sales team based in our London office, with responsibility for driving new business growth across the Western Europe region. The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, engaging and winning new business opportunities within an assigned territory. You will be a highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record of selling in a business-to-business environment. Combining tenacity, commercial awareness and strong communication skills, you will identify client challenges, develop meaningful relationships and position Euromonitor's solutions to meet business needs. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders both internally and externally across multiple locations and functions. Success will come from building a strong pipeline, managing opportunities effectively and delivering against revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver against individual sales targets through new business acquisition and effective pipeline management.
  • Develop and execute territory plans that identify and prioritise high-potential organisations and market opportunities.
  • Research and build a strong prospect list within the assigned territory.
  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, marketing-generated leads, referrals, events and networking activities.
  • Maintain a consistent prospecting cadence using sales tools such as Gong to maximise engagement and lead conversion.
  • Identify key sponsors, influencers and decision-makers within target organisations, understanding their objectives and purchasing processes.
  • Develop insight-led conversations that demonstrate the value of Euromonitor's data, research and strategic intelligence.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through discovery, proposal development, negotiation, procurement and close.
  • Create and maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity and opportunity information within Salesforce and other CRM systems.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to execute targeted campaigns across key industries, sectors and accounts.
  • Collaborate with Research, Consulting, Account Management and Sales colleagues to deliver high-quality client solutions and experiences.
  • Represent Euromonitor professionally during client meetings, presentations, events and networking opportunities.
  • Share client feedback, competitive intelligence and market insights with the wider sales team to support continuous improvement and business growth.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrable success in B2B sales, business development or a related commercial role.
  • A strong personal track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling to large organisations or corporate clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities with the confidence to engage stakeholders at multiple levels within an organisation.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to understand client challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Experience managing opportunities through a structured sales process.
  • Familiarity with consultative sales approaches; experience with methodologies such as Challenger or MEDDPICC would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales enablement tools, including Salesforce, Gong or similar platforms.
  • Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Curious, resilient, driven and self-motivated with a target-oriented mindset.
  • Intelligent problem solver who can adapt positively to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is essential. Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
