The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying opportunities, building senior-level relationships, and driving subscription sales growth across BCA's research platform and strategic offerings.The role is best suited to an ambitious and driven sales professional with early-to-mid career experience selling investment research, financial data, or related subscription solutions into institutional investment firms, and who is looking to build a career in institutional new business development.Principal ResponsibilitiesDrive new business acquisition across assigned territories and target institutional accountsProspect and originate opportunities through networking, outbound outreach, referrals, conferences, and strategic relationship developmentManage the full sales cycle from lead generation through negotiation and closeSupport the creation and execution of territory business development plans focused on generating pipeline growth and increasing market penetrationBuild relationships with senior investment professionals including portfolio managers, CIOs, strategists, economists, and research teamsPosition BCA's research solutions through consultative sales techniques and value-based client conversationsCollaborate with Research, Marketing, and Client Success teams to support business development initiatives and client engagementPromote attendance and participation in BCA conferences, events, and BCA Academy training programsMaintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasting, and client records within SalesforceRepresent BCA Research professionally within the institutional investment communityMeasures of SuccessNew business revenue generationPipeline creation and conversionGrowth of institutional client relationships within assigned territorySales activity levels including meetings, calls, and prospect engagementExpansion of BCA's presence within targeted institutional segmentsExperience Required2-3+ years of experience in institutional financial services sales, investment research sales, or subscription-based solution salesExperience selling to institutional clients in Continental xsabvtc Europe is a plusDemonstrated interest or early success in a new business development ("hunter") sales roleAbility to originate, manage, and progress institutional sales opportunities through to closeExposure to institutional investors such as asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, private banks, or investment banksStrong consultative sales and relationship-building skillsFamiliarity with CRM systems such as SalesforceStrong interest in global macroeconomics, investment strategy, and financial marketsExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsNice to HaveCFA or other relevant professional designation (or progress toward one)Existing network of institutional investment professionals within the assigned territoryExperience selling macroeconomic research, investment strategy, or financial market intelligence solutionsBehavioral CompetenciesResults-oriented and commercially drivenStrong relationship-building skillsEntrepreneurial mindset and self-starterHigh level of professionalism and credibilityStrong communication and influencing abilitiesResilient and persistentCollaborative team player with a proactive approachAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environmentJobFamilySalesPayTypeSalaryEmploymentIndicatorPermanent
