We are looking for an experienced in-house lawyer in financial services to join our client’s legal team, reporting to the Head of Legal. You’ll be part of a great team in a collegiate environment, with excellent working conditions.
You’ll work on a range of internal advisory matters and day to day commercial work, including:
- Negotiating contracts
- Guiding the business on financial services regulation and best practice in the sphere of investment funds
- Advising on data protection issues
- Providing guidance and support to the compliance and risk teams on associated legal issues
- Involvement in enhancing policies and precedents
- Involvement in project work from the legal perspective
Naturally, to be considered for this role you’ll:
- Have a qualification as a solicitor or barrister, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience PQE in a high-caliber UK firm
- Have experience in financial services regulation and solid knowledge of alternative investment funds regulation
- Use your skills to provide commercially focused advice, being proactive and reactive when necessary
- Be a skilled multi-tasker, able to prioritise and to keep colleagues appraised of progress
- Manage matters effectively to completion
- Have excellent communication skills
