Chemtest is part of Eurofins; we are an award-winning company providing routine analytical services and bespoke specialist testing throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. Our staff are employed across a number of strategically placed locations, all utilising the latest technologies. Our laboratories are UKAS accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and, where applicable, the Environment Agency MCERTS Performance Standard for soils.
Job Description
- Working hours: 22.5 hours per week - Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 7am to 3pm (8am to 4pm during training)
- Ensure all yard areas are kept tidy, free of hazards, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and management to coordinate operations.
- Perform basic maintenance on yard equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with site managers or warehouse supervisors to prioritise daily yard tasks.
- General movement of pallets containing customer samples and company equipment.
- Managing the disposal system, being able to use our software to locate samples ready for disposal.
- Use initiative to improve the yard area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure business compliance with Quality Management System (QMC) and technical procedures in accordance with IEC/ISO 17025, MCERTS and all other associated documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Health & Safety, Environmental (ISO 14001) regulations and in-house procedures, as required by the organisation.
- Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support business operations.
